The Together Project (Parents and Friends of St Oliver Plunkett) organised a planting workshop for the Year 1 and Nursery children. They worked hard sprucing up the school garden and around the school.
We feel it is important to include parents in school life and we have had the opportunity to host a number of workshops where parents can learn new skills in a fun, relaxed environment with their child. Michael McCorry (Belfast City Council) helps us to manage our school garden, as well as leading the workshops. He sourced all the logs, rushes, reeds etc that we used from the hedges and roadsides of West Belfast and Colin Glen Forest Park.
