September News

September has been a really busy month for us in 5TC.  We have been getting comfortable in our new classroom, which is in a mobile right beside the school ECO garden.  We have been enjoying this space and have helped Michael the Gardner from Belfast City Council harvest lots of produce that we can donate to the "Loaf" charity in the city center.

We have been busy getting our class charter together and looking at the Rights of the Child.  We've been looking at our rights and recognizing that those rights come with responsibility.

We have been selected to participate in an exciting coding experience with Pricewater Coopers.  Every week a volunteer from PwC comes to our class to work with us.  We have been learning about coding language and how coding is used all over the world for everyday things.

Miss Min Fan is our new Mandrin teacher - We are loving learning the Chinese language and all about Chinese culture.

Every Monday morning we have music with Mrs McBride from the school of music.  We are learning about musical terms, composition and performance.  We are loving building up to our special performance for all the other Year 5 classes.

September has been a super month! We are looking forward to some fun activities and learning in October.
