Welcome to Year 7

 

There are 28 boys and girls in Miss Mc Namee's class.  There are 15 girls and 13 boys.

The school day begins at 8:55am and we will begin our learning from this time. Please ensure your child arrives to school on time.

Please ensure your child is reading at home every evening, so that they can complete online Accelerated Reading quizzes. Children will be given the opportunity to change their books daily. 

 

The Creative Writing genre this term will be Balanced Arguments and Biographies.

African Drumming is every Friday morning. The cost is £10 per term. 

 

There is an extensive range of after school clubs, which are always popular.  Children are encouraged to attend at least one programme.

Our class novel is the second book from The Children of the Famine Trilogy, "Wildflower Girl".

 

The writing genres we will be studying are Explanation Writing and Narrative Writing.
