We will be learning about the Victorians and their amazing inventions as part of our World Around Us topic. Children will research famous Victorians and how they lived. We will do a host of STEM lessons learning about the amazing inventions that still have an impact on lives today.

As part of our WAU topic we worked with Stranmillis University using data loggers to measure our heart rate. We played lots of Victorian games, such as marbles, hoop run and hopscotch, then measured the difference in heart rate before and after each game. We analysed and interpreted the results and found that skipping was the game that caused our heart rates to rise over 100 BPM!
