We will be taking part in a school Dance-A-Thon on Friday 24th April at 10 am. This is to celebrate Autism Acceptance month and to raise money for Autism NI. I will share the link with you closer to the time.
I understand that the time will coincide with the mini marathon for some classes so you can join the link when you have completed your exercise.
Assemblies will take place for key stages on Thursday 23rd April to celebrate World Autism Acceptance month.
The children are encouraged to come to school wearing bright colours. I will send more information on these events closer to the time.
Details below.
Thanks in advance

Join NI’s BIGGEST School Dance-A-Thon held by the local legend Fitness Freddy!
This dance fundraiser will be broadcast online to all the schools taking part across Northern Ireland and we are encouraging all schools to get their pupils up and moving to Freddy’s dance instructions. Use your school hall/gym to hold the Dance-A-Thon and get Freddy up on the big screen so that all the pupils can follow his direction. This is a great fundraiser to get your pupils involved in as it fun for young people and it also encourages physical activity.
The Dance-A-Thon will be broadcast at 10am on Friday 24th April 2026.
We are asking all pupils taking part to dress in something colourful for the dance challenge to represent the colours of the spectrum and raise autism acceptance in their school.
Why Take Part?
Have fun dancing
Enjoy great music and fun from Fitness Freddy

Help raise money for Autism NI’s local services
All pupils taking part will receive a sponsor form to help raise much needed funds for local autism services. On completion, all pupils will also receive a certificate to celebrate their achievements.
