Peace IV is a shared education initiative that is funded by th European Union. It is bsed on the idea of collaboration through sharing the best practise in education. It involves schools from all over the north of Ireland and border counties. The project is primarily focused on building friendships across our community and helping children to learn respect and appreciation for all cultures, traditions and religions.
This year will be our third year of involvement in the project and its focus for the year is, 'Learning about my world and myself. '
Day 1 at St. Oliver Plunkett
The children had the opportunity to create their own hessian flower picture, learn about their rights according to the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child and to explore the different functions of different organs of the body.
Day 1 at Fairview P. S.
Children frm St. Oliver Plunkett were welcomed into Fairview to work collaboratively on; a class contract based on their shared education project, devloping their mental maths skills with iZak 9 and learning about a range of different countries in Europe.
