On Our Doorstep
The topic this term is On Our Doorstep. We are learning about Ireland, including its food, industry, Landmarks, Geography and History. We have looked at the provinces and counties of Ireland and are currently learning about Ireland's early times in Mesolithic and Neolithic eras.
In October a very exciting event happened. We read in the newspaper that Mesolithic tools had been found in our Eco-Garden and we had the opportunity to dig some up for the museum. We recovered lots of interesting artefacts including arrow heads and stone knives. We were able to write descriptions of what we thought these tools were used for and package them for the museum.
