Keep up to date with all the latest news happening in school at the moment.
We celebrated Halloween with a disco and dress up day.
Thank you to the Together Project for organising this fun filled day.
🎃🎃Pumpkin Patch🎃🎃
Our Pumpkin Patch opened its doors to Year 1 and 2 pupils and parents this year. Pupils picked their pumpkin in the Eco Garden and carved them inside, alongside a range of art activities.
We were delighted to welcome St. Oliver Plunkett Nursery School and St. Oliver Plunkett Playgroup to our Pumpkin Patch this year, building on the existing partnerships we already have in place with them.
Year 1 and 2 pupils and parents helped us celebrate Parenting Week NI.
We know parents play a crucial role in shaping the next generation and we at SOP appreciate everything they do.
Our underlying Catholic ethos stems from our relationship with St. Oliver Plunkett Church. The Chapel is integral to the life and ethos of our school. Fr Brankin visits classes regularly, especially those who are preparing for their sacraments. All pupils attend mass throughout the year and on feast days.
Classes have been visiting the Church on a weekly basis to familiarise the pupils with the Church and the Altar.
Mrs O Keefe's class visited the Church on Friday and Ms Mohan's class went today.
🤗Welcome Year 1s🤗
We were delighted to welcome our new Year 1 pupils this week. They have settled into their new classrooms really well and are enjoying making new friends. With lots of new routines to get used to, Year 1 can be a worrying time for both pupils and parents - but each of the new starts have done really well this week and we look forward to welcoming more over the month of September.
Fun Day Fundraiser June 27th 2023
We held a fundraiser to raise vital funds for our school. There was a range of activities on offer including penalty shoot out, basketball, golf, throw the hoop, tattooing, hair branding, nail painting and much more. Soak the teacher proved very popular!
Our total profit was an amazing £2357.20
Thank you to Mrs Kelly for organising this event and to the other members of staff who ran the activities. It was a major success and one which the pupils thoroughly enjoyed.
