"A massive thank you to everyone who made our Wear Green day a success! 🌟 There was a sea of green and we were blown away by your support 🙌. Whether you dug out the perfect green tee, sent in a donation, or just rocked the colour, you're what made it special. We raised £400 for National Kidney Month - thanks for helping us make a difference 😊" Seen in the image is our Student council presenting Hazel from Children’s Kidney Fund NI with a cheque for all the money raised!!

I understand that the time will coincide with the mini marathon for some classes so you can join the link when you have completed your exercise.
Assemblies will take place for key stages on Thursday 23rd April to celebrate World Autism Acceptance month.
The children are encouraged to come to school wearing bright colours. I will send more information on these events closer to the time.
Details below.

Join NI’s BIGGEST School Dance-A-Thon held by the local legend Fitness Freddy!
This dance fundraiser will be broadcast online to all the schools taking part across Northern Ireland and we are encouraging all schools to get their pupils up and moving to Freddy’s dance instructions. Use your school hall/gym to hold the Dance-A-Thon and get Freddy up on the big screen so that all the pupils can follow his direction. This is a great fundraiser to get your pupils involved in as it fun for young people and it also encourages physical activity.
The Dance-A-Thon will be broadcast at 10am on Friday 24th April 2026.
We are asking all pupils taking part to dress in something colourful for the dance challenge to represent the colours of the spectrum and raise autism acceptance in their school.
Why Take Part?
Have fun dancing
Enjoy great music and fun from Fitness Freddy
Promote health and fitness activities
Come together with schools across NI to support a cause
Help raise money for Autism NI’s local services
All pupils taking part will receive a sponsor form to help raise much needed funds for local autism services. On completion, all pupils will also receive a certificate to celebrate their achievements.
The school who raises the most money will receive a £300 voucher to buy sports equipment from Decathlon.
Well done to the P6 and P7 girls and boys representing Plunkett in the Belfast City Cross Country. Wet but enjoyable with 5 top 10 finishers, we’ll be back for the finals day.
A huge well done to our P6/7 boys gaelic football team who are through to the Carragher Cup Championship Final. The boys battled with great spirit and determination to seal the victory today in an extremely close encounter. The boys had to play through difficult weather conditions throughout the game but this didnt stop the team putting 100% effort into the game. A huge well done to Our Lady Queen of Peace for the game and being fantastic competitors today.
We look forward to the final which will be scheduled after Easter. 🙌
Our Nurture pupils have been hard at work getting their hands dirty and making a wonderful difference around the school grounds!
From planting potatoes to tidying and maintaining our outdoor spaces, the children have shown great teamwork, care, and enthusiasm. It’s been fantastic to see them learning new skills while enjoying the fresh air and taking pride in their environment.
Well done to everyone involved for their brilliant effort—our school is looking better than ever! 🌿💚
Last session of Hedgerow Heroes with Emily. We had so much fun being part of this project and look forward to watching our hedgerow grow.
Mr Reid’s Primary 4 class had great fun investigating the question “Does toast always fall butter‑side down?” as part of Science Week 2025. After carrying out a fair test, we discovered that our toast landed butter‑side down 6 out of 10 times!
☘️ St. Patrick’s Day Celebrations at School ☘️
We had a fantastic day celebrating St. Patrick’s Day! The school was filled with a sea of green as pupils and staff embraced the festive spirit.
From creative arts and crafts to lively music and dancing, everyone enjoyed taking part in the fun activities. A big highlight of the day was seeing the wonderful effort put into outfits and the smiles all around.
Thank you to everyone who helped make the day so special. It was a great way to celebrate our culture, community, and togetherness.
Happy St. Patrick’s Day from all of us! 💚
