    Fri 06 Mar 2026

What a wonderful day we had celebrating World Book Day! Our school was brought to life with an amazing array of book characters as pupils and staff dressed up as their favourite stories came off the page.

Throughout the day, classes took part in a range of fun activities—from shared reading and storytelling to creative writing and quizzes. It was fantastic to see such enthusiasm for reading and to celebrate the joy that books bring to our lives.

A big well done to everyone for the incredible effort with costumes, and thank you to all who helped make the day so memorable.

Let’s keep the love of reading alive every day! πŸ“–πŸ’«

  • Teddy Bears Picnic

    Thu 26 Feb 2026

Year One and Two children had a wonderful morning at the Half Moon Lake for our much-anticipated Teddy Bears' Picnic. The children were full of excitement as they arrived with their teddies, ready for a special outdoor adventure.

We spread out our picnic blankets and enjoyed listening to some lovely stories together, sharing lots of smiles and laughter with friends. After our snack, we explored the area and went on a spring hunt, carefully looking for signs of the new season. The children spotted fresh green buds on the trees, colourful flowers beginning to bloom, and listened closely to birds singing nearby. Some even noticed insects starting to reappear as the weather grows warmer.

It was a fantastic opportunity for the children to enjoy the outdoors, develop their observation skills, and spend quality time together in nature. They represented the school beautifully and should be very proud of themselves.

  • Internet Safety Day 2026 & Children’s Mental Health Week

    Fri 06 Feb 2026

Celebrating Internet Safety Day 2026 & Children’s Mental Health Week

With a splash of colour for Crazy Hair Day!

This week our school came together to celebrate Internet Safety Day 2026 alongside Children’s Mental Health Week, and what a brilliant week it’s been! πŸ’»πŸ’™

Across the school, pupils took part activities and discussions focused on staying safe online, being kind and respectful in digital spaces, and knowing where to go for help if something online doesn’t feel right. Children explored topics such as privacy, screen time, positive online behaviour, and how to support one another both on and offline.

At the same time, we marked Children’s Mental Health Week by encouraging open conversations about feelings, resilience, and wellbeing. Classes shared thoughtful discussions, creative activities, and calming moments, all reminding us how important it is to look after our mental health and to support our friends.

To top off the week, we held a Crazy Hair Day πŸŽ‰ — and the results were amazing! From rainbow spikes to glittery curls and gravity-defying styles, the school was full of colour, smiles, and laughter. Crazy Hair Day helped us celebrate individuality, boost confidence, and bring some extra fun to an important week of learning and reflection.

Thank you to our pupils, staff, and families for supporting these events and helping us reinforce such important messages in a joyful and memorable way. πŸ’«
