  • Tony’s Chinese Success

    Tony Mc Donnell’s poster design for the year of the rat was chosen to represent our school at a nationwide competition organised by the Confucius Insititute which was held in the Waterfront.

     

    Tony’s design came 4th in Northern Ireland. Well done Tony.

    Please see the school calendar for important dates regarding year one applications for 2020.

    We are limited to 100 places for 2020 and following our Year 1 Open Day it is clear that we will be over subscribed. It is therefore important to get your application completed and in on time. 

     

    Under the Parents section of the website you can go to admissions, where you will find more important information.

     

    January 19th 2020 9.15am

    On this date we will hold an information day whereby parents can drop in to go online with iPads provided and complete application forms for Year 1. We will have trained staff on hand to help with the application process and make sure that the process is as smooth as possible. 

  • Best Caretaker in the West

    Well done to Roisin Mc Cleave, who was named Best Caretaker in the West on Saturday 13th April, at the Andersonstown News Best in the West Awards 2019. A truly deserving winner. Roisin and of course Maureen do so much for our school on a day and daily basis. Congratulations !
  • The Social School Award

    Earlier in the year we became the first Northern Ireland School to be awarded The Social School Award.

     

    Lead in our submission by Mrs Enright, our Social Media Team have been engaging with parents using social media since 2012.

     

    The video, created as part of our submission is so insightful, clear and reflective in how it tells our school story. Contributing to the video are Mr Mc Cabe, Social Team members, a Governor and a parent from the community.  We’d like to thank all those involved for taking part.

     

    The Award process noted the following strengths...

    • broad school buy-in by staff and students to the Cyber Tiger Cyber Cubs ‘movement’
    • the breadth of expertise in the Social Media Team
    • involvement of Safeguarding colleagues and
    • how the school uses its creative Apple credentials in producing engaging conten
