Well done to all the children in Year 6 who designed and built their own Anderson Shelter at home as part of our WAU WWII project. We are so impressed with all the wonderful designs.
Well done boys and girls!!!
World Autism Acceptance Month is an opportunity for everyone to come together and raise awareness, foster acceptance, and create a society where autistic people are supported, understood, and empowered.
We celebrated World Autism Awareness Day through a special assembly and engaging activities. The assembly helped spread awareness and promote acceptance, while the activities encouraged inclusion and understanding. It was a meaningful day that brought our school together in support of neurodiversity.
Thank you to Miss Doherty for organising this special celebration.
Year 3 created a Rainforest in a Jar, as part of their topic On an Adventure and to coincide with Science Week 25.
They will now observe the changes in the jar and watch the seeds grow.
We celebrated World Book Day and our love of reading across the school. The pupils went to great effort to come to school as their favourite book characters.
Zoologist, Catherine visited Year 3 to show them lots of creatures from the Rainforest. They got to see and hold a turtle, snake, lizard and many more animals.
Year 4-7 pupils attended Ash Wednesday mass, while pupils in all year groups received their ashes and partook on activities based around this special celebration.
